Report: Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl still wants two signings in January

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has sparked a big improvement at St. Mary’s since taking charge.

According to the Daily Echo, Southampton want two new players this month, but Ralph Hasenhuttl knows it may not be possible.

The Saints are keen to improve their squad, but they have not made a signing so far in January.

And although Hasenhuttl wants new additions he knows that he may not get his wish.

Southampton don’t have a wealth of money available to them, and are thought to have to sell before buying.

Southampton have a number of players up for sale, but they may run out of time to do significant business.

Even if Southampton do manage to sell some of their fringe players now, they would have to act quickly to bring any of Hasenhuttl’s targets in.

Southampton have been much improved since Hasenhuttl took charge, and they are now sat in 15th place in the Premier League table.
