Southampton are keen on signing another Ligue 1 midfielder though Angers will not allow Angelo Fulgini to depart for a penny less than £10.5 million, as reported by Le10 Sport.

The silky schemer was one of Europe’s hottest prospects in his teenage years, linked to pretty much every superclub going. But after a spell out of the headlines, the offers are starting to roll in once again.

Now 24, Fulgini is beginning to fulfil the potential that caught the eye of Liverpool, AC Milan, Manchester United and co at the beginning of his career.

The Ivory Coast-born midfielder is the beating heart of an overachieving Angers side, scoring six goals from the centre of the park this term.

According to Le10 Sport, Fulgini’s silky skills have caught the eye of both Monaco and Marseille, while Southampton are also offering him the opportunity to showcase his talents on the other side of the Channel.

The Saints tried and failed to sign Fulgini during the January window and are expected to return in the summer.

Monaco, meanwhile, have already failed with a £7 million bid. Angers want £10.5 million for their prized asset.
