According to The Sunday Mirror (06/12, p63), Southampton and West Ham United are interested in signing Marseille winger Nemanja Radonjic.
It’s claimed that Marseille will be open to loaning Radonjic out in January, after he fell down the pecking order under Andre Villas-Boas.
The French side are allegedly making teams aware that Radonjic will be available, and both Southampton and West Ham are though to be interested.
How’s Radonjic faring with Marseille?
The 24-year-old winger joined Marseille in 2018 having impressed with Red Star Belgrade, with 11 goals and eight assists in 47 games.
However, the speedy attacker hasn’t found similar success with Marseille, bagging just six goals and three assists in 55 appearances.
Villas-Boas did praise Radonjic earlier this year for being explosive if a little inconsistent, but has now given him just 134 minutes of league football this season, meaning an exit could be imminent.

Do Southampton or West Ham need Radonjic?
There is obviously talent in Radonjic, and maybe he can settle down elsewhere, but it’s hard to see either of these sides signing him.
Southampton play a 4-2-2-2, and they have Stuart Armstrong, Moussa Djenepo, Theo Walcott and Nathan Redmond who can play in those roles, as well as talented youngster Nathan Tella.
Meanwhile, West Ham have struggled to give Said Benrahma starts since his arrival, so adding another winger wouldn’t really make much sense as things stand, so we’re not expecting the Serbian to join either in January.
