The Southampton midfielder is reportedly nearing an exit from the club.

According to a report from Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf, Southampton ace Jordy Clasie is currently undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed move to AZ Alkmaar.
The 28-year-old joined the Saints from Feyenoord in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth £8 million according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to make 49 appearances in all competitions for the south coast club.
The midfielder has spent the last two seasons away from Southampton on loan with Club Brugges and Feyenoord respectively, but now it seems as though he is heading for a permanent exit from St Mary’s.
Dutch publication De Telegraaf claims that Clasie is currently undergoing a medical prior to his move to AZ Alkmaar.

The Dutchman never really lived up to what was expected of him at Southampton, and Ralph Hasenhuttl will probably just be happy to get his £50,000 per week wages (Spotrac) off the club’s books.
And the player himself will also surely be happy to start a new chapter in his career, having spent four underwhelming years with the Saints.
