Tottenham Hotspur may have an advantage over both Liverpool and Manchester United in the race for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.

This time it’s Napoli star Kim as the Daily Mail report that Tottenham are tempted to activate his release clause.
It’s stated that Liverpool and Manchester United feel a similar way with Kim currently able to leave Napoli for £40million.
However, the report claims that Tottenham actually ‘hold a slight advantage’ in this transfer race.
That’s because Kim’s friend and international teammate Son Heung-min is at Spurs, which seemingly appeals to the defender.
Napoli will try and remove the clause from Kim’s deal but he is allegedly keen on a Premier League switch.
Tottenham have wanted Kim Min-jae for a long time
£40million would be a decent price for a top defender like Kim but Spurs could have had him signed for much cheaper a long time ago.
Tottenham fans will remember many, many rumours about Kim joining the club from over the years.
Spurs were keen on signing Kim during his time at Beijing Guoan in China.
The aforementioned Son recommended Kim to Spurs in 2021 according to 90Min and a deal seemed to be likely.
Kim headed to Fenerbahce instead, but Fanatik claimed in April 2022 that Tottenham were still watching him in Turkey.
Again though, the summer passed without Spurs signing Kim and he instead joined Napoli to replace Kalidou Koulibaly.
Kim has been simply sensational this season and has been hailed as ‘incredible’ by Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti.
Spurs now face paying three times the price than they could have paid a couple of years ago – but it may still be worth it.
