Some of Tottenham Hotspur’s younger players are said to be unsure that Antonio Conte would be the right man to takeover by the London Evening Standard.
Tottenham have a clutch of prospects breaking through, who are believed to have bright futures.
The likes of Dane Scarlett, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga are all believed to be players who could develop into first-team stars in the future.
However, Conte’s track record at bringing through youngsters is not one of his strengths.
The Italian tends to prefer to focus on short-term success rather than a long-term project.
And that is believed to be causing anxiety among some of Tottenham’s younger players, although the individuals are not named.
Daniel Levy is believed to be giving serious consideration to appointing Conte, but nothing is decided yet.
Indeed, the Standard’s report says that Conte wants at least the weekend to decide whether he will take over at Tottenham or not.

It should also be noted that not every Spurs player is worried about Conte arriving.
Some of the more senior stars are said to be excited, which is understandable given his track record of success.
Worries justified?
Tottenham’s youngsters actually may have had similar concerns when Jose Mourinho arrived.
Mourinho, though, promised that he would attempt to bring the club’s academy stars through and he did stick to his word.
Mourinho offered chances of the likes of Scarlett, Tanganga, Nile John and Alfie Devine during his time at the club.
Whether Conte would be willing to change approach if he was to take the Spurs job remains to be seen.
