West Ham United parted company with David Moyes earlier this week.

According to the Guardian, some of West Ham United’s players felt that David Moyes’ methods were very old fashioned.

Moyes managed to stabilise West Ham last season and keep them up, but he has been moved on.

The Scot was fighting a losing battle, with many members of West Ham’s support wanting a new manager to take over at the end of the campaign.

And the London Stadium crowd got their wish, with Moyes told he would depart earlier this week.

Moyes was criticised for showing a lack of entertainment from supporters, and some players are said to have found his methods very old-fashioned.

The 55-year-old boss has been managing since 1998, and is not as much as an innovator as many of the new breed of bosses.

West Ham are now thought to be searching for Moyes’ replacement, with the likes of Paolo Fonseca and Unai Emery linked.
