West Ham United will have to wait until the summer before they can recall in-form winger Robert Snodgrass from his loan at Championship side Aston Villa, according to independent Hammers site Claret & Hugh.
Snodgrass, 30, has been in excellent form for Steve Bruce’s side since joining the Midlands giants on loan in the summer until the end of the season, prompting some talk of a possible January recall.
Scoring three goals in 11 games from out wide as well as providing an assist, it seems the Scotland international has reignited his best form which could see fellow countryman Moyes consider using him in the second half of the season.
However, well-placed fans site Claret & Hugh claim there is no clause in Snodgrass’ loan deal to allow him to return to the London Stadium in January, leaving the Hammers light on the right flank.
Algeria international Sofiane Feghouli left the club in the summer to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, while powerhouse Michail Antonio remains sidelined through injury.
Snodgrass, a 25-time Scotland international that has also played for the likes of Hull City, Norwich City and Leeds United, could still have a future in east London with his Hammers contract set to run until the summer of 2020.
But Moyes will have to do without the set-piece specialist until the summer, as the Hammers begin a new era under the former Everton manager with a trip to Watford on Sunday.
