Aston Villa forward Bertrand Traore is having a late assessment of his injury problem ahead of a trip to Arsenal this weekend, the Express and Star report.
Traore picked up a groin issue against Southampton last weekend, after being handed his first Villa start.
But Dean Smith doesn’t think the injury is too serious and is hoping that Traore can be fit enough to feature on Sunday.
Whether the Burkina Faso international will be backed to start is very much up for debate.
Traore has generally been an impact substitute throughout the entirety of his Villa career so far, and is yet to make a massive impact.

The wide-man has just one goal in his seven appearances for the claret and blues, but could cause Arsenal some problems on the break.
Traore does possess great speed, and if Villa can use him against some tiring legs late on, then he could be a very useful option for Smith’s side to have available at the Emirates Stadium.
