Newcastle United are set to sit down with Rafael Benitez to discuss terms over him staying in the coming days.

Newcastle have not drawn up a contingency plan in case Benitez leaves, with no targets in mind.
However, they are said to have received a lot of notifications of interest from potential managers.
Benitez has made no secret that he may walk away from Newcastle in the coming days, with his contract expiring.
The Spanish boss wants to be given assurances by Mike Ashley before committing his future to the Tyneside club.
Ashley and Benitez are set to meet soon to discuss whether he will stay for next season.

And if Benitez does decide to walk away, then Newcastle are said not to want to waste any time finding a replacement.
The Chronicle claim that former West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic is among the interested candidates in taking over at Newcastle, if Benitez does leave.
Arsene Wenger and Jorge Jesus also are said to have shown tentative interest in coming to St. James’ Park.
