West Ham United do not feel there is a suitable replacement for their current boss according to reports.

Slaven Bilic is currently safe at West Ham United as there are a lack of suitable replacements at present, reports the Daily Star.

The Hammers have endured a disastrous first half of the campaign and currently sit 17th in the table, just a point outside the relegation zone.

Saturday afternoon saw them suffer one of their worst defeats of the season as they were beaten 5-1 by rivals Arsenal at the London Stadium.

That result saw manager Bilic coming in for criticism from fans and pundits alike, with some suggestions he should be sacked.

However, it appears that the former Croatia boss is safe for the time being according to the Daily Star.

The newspaper reports that West Ham will not sack him at this moment in time as the club’s hierarchy do not believe that there is an obvious candidate to replace him.

As a result, they are willing to give him time to turn things around although that could change should their current slump not be brought to a swift end.

The Hammers are currently without a win in their last six games and in the middle of a relegation scrap but a victory could see them move as high as 13th in the table.
