Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier has seen his potential move to AC Milan stall, according to Sky Sports.

Milan were pushing hard to sign Aurier from Tottenham in previous months this summer, but with Daniel Levy demanding a high price for the right-back the links seem to have gone cold.

Sky now suggest that Milan’s interest in Aurier has waned, and that the move has stalled.

That could be a blow to Tottenham, as Aurier’s sale would have helped to enable them to make more additions.

Spurs are still thought to be hunting a new striker this summer, but have a limited budget to find a number nine with.

Aurier seems to have little future at Spurs, following the addition of Matt Doherty.

Aurier played regularly for Tottenham last season, but was highly inconsistent and Mourinho has now replaced him at the very first opportunity.
