Leicester City’s Fousseni Diabate spent the second half of last season on loan at Sivasspor and the Turkish side want him back this summer.

According to a report from Fanatik, Turkish side Sivasspor are looking to sign Leicester City’s Fousseni Diabate after an impressive loan spell last season.

The Foxes signed the 23-year-old from French club Ajaccio back in January 2018 and he has since made 15 appearances for the club in all competitions. Diabate managed just one assist during that time for Leicester and was loaned out to Sivasspor where his performances caught the eye.

Diabate scored twice and assisted three more times in 17 appearances for the Turkish outfit who finished 11th in the Super Lig last season. His numbers on paper might not look as impressive but his impact for them since his switch in January was hugely beneficial.

The Malian featured everywhere across the front three for Sivasspor but both his goals came while playing as a centre-forward. Diabate’s versatility can be hugely beneficial for the Foxes in the coming years and another season on loan will hopefully aid his development.

The report also reveals quotes from Diabate which say that he is happy to continue his stay in Turkey if a deal can be agreed upon with Leicester.

Diabate’s chances of game time at Leicester next season is next to none and a move away, preferably on loan, suits all parties involved.
