Moussa Sissoko looks dejected after missing a chance to score
According to the London Evening Standard, new signing Moussa Sissoko is in line to make his Tottenham Hotspur debut against Stoke City this weekend, with Erik Lamela set to be rested.
Spurs went into the international break with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool, and made three moves on deadline day last week to strengthen their squad, bringing in goalkeeper Pau Lopez, winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and midfielder Sissoko.

It was Sissoko’s move which grabbed the headlines, as Spurs paid out a huge £30m to land the Frenchman (Sky Sports) from Newcastle United in the final minutes of the transfer window, despite his struggles during the Magpies’ relegation last season.
The 27-year-old did star for France at Euro 2016 though, and Spurs fans will be keen to which version of the inconsistent Sissoko they’ve got – and they may not have to wait long to see him in action.

The London Evening Standard report that Sissoko could start for Tottenham as they face Stoke City away from home this weekend, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to give Erik Lamela a rest.
Winger Lamela has starred in the first three weeks of the season, but will be part of the Argentina side that takes on Venezuela later this week – and he faces a ten hour flight back to London on Thursday, meaning he won’t have much rest time before Saturday’s game.

Pochettino may therefore choose to leave Lamela out, and it’s believed that Sissoko is in line to replace him on the right hand side of midfield, where he featured for Newcastle last season and for France at Euro 2016.
With Mousa Dembele still suspended, Sissoko may be able to provide the power and drive from midfield that Spurs have lacked so far this season, and he’ll be desperate to make an instant impression if Saturday proves to be his Spurs debut.
