According to All Nigeria Soccer, West Ham United have managed to win the race for youngster Justin Osagie from Southend United.
It’s claimed that the Hammers have pulled off a major coup, whilst there is an accompanying photo of Osagie signing his West Ham deal.
The report notes that Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton have all attempted to sign Osagie, but Southend rejected their approaches.
West Ham have now struck a deal, and will pay Southend training compensation to bring Osagie to the London Stadium.
Osagie is described as a ‘versatile centre back’, with ability on the ball that enables him to slip into central midfield if needed.

The 15-year-old can play for England or Nigeria at international level, and he is on England’s radar having shown promise.
Osagie will now hope to emerge through the West Ham ranks and become a first-team player, and the Hammers will certainly be pleased to have won the race against some pretty stern competition.
