According to The Telegraph, Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi is open to leaving the club before Monday’s transfer deadline.
It’s claimed that Lazio are still keen to sign Mustafi, having been strongly linked with a move in recent weeks.
Mustafi, 28, is out of contract in 2021, meaning he is entering the final months of his deal at the Emirates Stadium.
This report states that Mustafi is open to leaving Arsenal in the next few days, but isn’t particularly agitating to leave.
With the transfer window closing on Monday, Mustafi would seemingly listen to offers to go and play first-team football, but he won’t demand to go.
Mustafi has seen Gabriel Magalhaes join this summer, whilst William Saliba has started his Arsenal career having spent last season back on loan at Saint-Etienne.

David Luiz, Rob Holding, Calum Chambers and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are also in the mix, meaning Mustafi may need to leave if he wants to play.
Mikel Arteta did praise Mustafi’s ‘attitude’ to The Mirror in July, but if Arsenal can recoup some money before Mustafi leaves for free, then they may well take that avenue.
