Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Cameron Carter-Vickers on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.

Wednesday, though, are not the only club who are reported to be interested in the 20-year-old USA international defender – who earns £20,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.

According to The Mirror, the Owls’s Championship rivals, Swansea City and Ipswich Town, also want the Tottenham youngster.

Ipswich manager Paul Hurst, though, has told TWTV that he is looking at other options (click here to read more).

Good signing for Sheffield Wednesday

Carter-Vickers knows the Championship inside out, having played on loan from Tottenham first for Sheffield United and then for Ipswich last season.

The USA international is a very capable and promising young central defender, and the 20-year-old would be a good addition to the current Owls’ squad.

The defender is unlikely to get much playing time at Spurs this season, and it would make sense for him to go out on loan for the 2018-19 campaign.
