Sheffield Wednesday are still looking for a new permanent manager.

According to The Sun, Sheffield Wednesday are back in for Tony Pulis for their vacant managerial role as they search for Steve Bruce’s successor.
Wednesday were rocked when Bruce left the club in pre-season for his dream job with boyhood club Newcastle United, and they still haven’t found his permanent replacement.
The Owls have stuck with Lee Bullen as their interim boss, but defeats to Preston and Queens Park Rangers have dented his chances of landing the job.
Now, it’s claimed that Wednesday are going back in for Pulis, having initially contacted him about the job when Bruce left Hillsborough for St James’ Park.
Pulis wasn’t interested then, but the Owls are seemingly hoping that they can get him with their second approach.
Pulis lost his job at Middlesbrough at the end of last season, having failed to take Boro into the play-offs, whilst the 61-year-old’s style of play again received criticism.

The Welshman at least brings experience, and a similar kind of approach to Bruce, which may help continuity at Hillsborough.
Still, the move wouldn’t go down too well with some, and even after a couple of defeats, there will be some supporters who would rather stick with Bullen than get Pulis in.
