It is fair to say Wednesday fans are sick and tired of seeing a string of underachieving, over-paid veterans pass through Hillsborough, arriving amid lofty expectations before departing via the back door.
Fortunately, the Owls appear to have moved away from that flawed strategy. Better late than never, we suppose.
