According to the Yorkshire Post, Dejphon Chansiri still believes Sheffield Wednesday can make the play offs this season.

Chansiri finally acted to sack Jos Luhukay last month, and Wednesday’s form has been much improved since the Dutchman’s departure.

The Owls have now taken eight points from their last four games, with Lee Bullen doing a very impressive job in temporary charge.

Wednesday have started to climb the Championship table, and have just put Steve Bruce in charge for the rest of the season.

Bruce is set to take over at Wednesday at the start of February, and Chansiri is reportedly hoping that a late charge for the play offs is still a possibility.

The Yorkshire Post claim that insiders say that Chansiri is still hopeful that Wednesday could sneak into promotion contention, despite their poor start.

The Owls are currently in 16th place in the Championship table, 11 points away from the play off spots.
