Crawley Town’s League Two star Bez Lubala could return to the Championship with Garry Monk’s Owls, though Boro and Wigan Athletic are also keen.

Sheffield Wednesday are leading the chase for Bez Lubala, according to TEAMtalk, with the Crawley Town forward potentially on his way back to the Championship mere months after he turned down a contract extension at Birmingham City.
The Blues’ loss could be The Owls’ gain.
Lubala has been a big hit since joining Crawley on a free transfer over the summer, scoring seven times in 18 games in all competitions for the League Two outfit, and speculation suggests that a return to the second tier is beckoning already.
Garry Monk handed the Congolose forward his senior debut in April 2018 during his time as Birmingham manager and TEAMtalk believe that they could be reunited at Hillsborough – potentially as early as January.
A Middlesbrough side who have failed to score in each of their last three games are interested too, along with Wigan Athletic, but Wednesday are apparently leading the race with Monk’s presence in the dugout likely to give the Steel City side a substantial advantage over their Championship rivals.

Steven Fletcher is the only member of Monk’s squad to score more than twice in the league this season so Lubala could offer some much-needed competition for the former Burnley and Sunderland centre-forward.
Then again, it is worth pointing out that, after a brilliant start to life at Crawley, Lubala went 10 games without a goal before finding the net in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Cambridge. Is he ready for the Championship?
