Sheffield Wednesday face losing manager Steve Bruce to Newcastle United.

Sheffield Wednesday are doing their best to get full value out of Newcastle United for Steve Bruce and his team.
Newcastle want to appoint Bruce as manager to replace Rafa Benitez.
The Times report Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri wants Newcastle to pay £5 million for Steve Bruce and his staff.
Assistants Stephen Clemence and Steve Agnew both tendered their resignations along with Bruce yesterday.
Wednesday want the money paid up front in one lump sum.
The Times report Newcastle’s current offer falls short of the Owls’ demands.
The fee for Bruce and his staff is 25 per cent of Newcastle’s record transfer fee, a £20 million spent on Almiron earlier this year.

Neither club can really sustain much uncertainty, with the transfer window set to close on August 8.
Wednesday will need to find a new manager. Having £5 million in the bank will help their cause, potentially to poach a boss of their own, or for a Bruce replacement to spend.
That’s if Newcastle pay their demands, and Wednesday are left with time to spend it.
