Sheffield Wednesday are considering whether to make a move to bring Vincent Sasso back to the club, according to a report in the Sheffield Star.
The centre-back spent last season with Carlos Carvalhal’s side, and while he struggled to hold down a spot in the team during his time at Hillsborough, the Star is suggesting that a return could happen.

The Owls are lacking options at the heart of their defence with both Glenn Loovens and Tom Lees being struck down by injury – though the Star suggest that the latter should be back this weekend – so it would hardly be surprising if Carvalhal looked to bolster his ranks before the transfer window closes.
The Star reports that Wednesday want the 25-year-old on a short-term deal, which may not be a problem as they also suggest that he is not in Braga’s plans currently.
Although Sasso failed to really prove himself during his year in England, he is a player that Carvalhal knows well and, perhaps more importantly, he will know the system that the team plays.
Having come so close to promotion last year, it is surely fair to say that Wednesday have not needed drastic changes within their squad to contend for promotion this time around.
But by adding more depth in the form of a player who was part of their success last term, they will surely stand a better chance of going one better this season.
