Bristol Rovers striker Matty Taylor could leave the club for £300,000 this month, with Brentford, Norwich City, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers all keen.
According to the Daily Mail, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers are just two of the clubs on alert over a release clause allegedly in the contract of Bristol Rovers striker Matty Taylor.
Taylor, 26, made his name in non-league football with North Leigh, Forest Green Rovers, Chester and then Bristol Rovers, where he has enjoyed a remarkable rise.

The striker hit 20 goals in his first season with the club to fire them to League Two, and he smashed 28 goals in 50 games last season as Bristol Rovers made it two promotions in a row.
Making the step up to League One so quickly was seen as a challenge for Taylor, but he has taken it in his stride, scoring 16 times in the third tier this season, making it 19 goals in all competitions – and interest in his signature is unsurprisingly mounting.

The Daily Mail report that Brentford, Norwich City, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all keen on signing Taylor, who allegedly has a £300,000 release clause in his contract.
Wednesday have already added one striker this month having signed Sam Winnall from Barnsley, and whilst they also have the likes of Fernando Forestieri, Gary Hooper and Steven Fletcher, the Owls may see Taylor as a bargain worth adding as they chase a play-off place.
Wolves also have some strikers at Paul Lambert’s disposal in Nouha Dicko, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Joe Mason, but Paul Gladon has flopped since a summer move from Heracles, and Lambert could view Taylor as a marked improvement.
At just £300,000, Taylor is set to attract major interest ahead of next week’s transfer deadline, and Bristol Rovers look powerless to stop him leaving if a suitable offer comes in during the next seven days.
