Money is no concern for Sheffield United in their pursuit of former Fulham and Watford coach Slavisa Jokanovic, as reported by Yorkshire Live.
It is two months now since Chris Wilder bid an emotional farewell to Bramall Lane but, eight weeks later, we are still no closer to finding out who will be tasked with stepping into the shoes of a bona fide living legend.
Alexander Blessin, the Red Bull graduate who has worked wonders at Oostende, was recently denied a VISA, forcing Sheffield United to look elsewhere.
Michael Appleton of Lincoln City and Club Brugge boss Philippe Clement have also been linked but, if you ask Blades fans, there is one standout candidate.
In 2015, Jokanovic guided Watford back to the Premier League. Three years later, this promotion-specialist repeated the trick with Fulham.

Jokanovic is expected to return to Europe when his contract at Middle Eastern outfit Al Duhail expires in the summer and, according to the Star, the Blades will step up their pursuit of the one-time Chelsea defender over the next few days.
Jokanovic won’t come cheap. The Sun reports that he will command around £4 million-a-year (£75,000-a-week) – wages higher than any of Sheffield United’s playing roster.
But reports coming out of Yorkshire claim that money is no issue here. Sheffield United, it seems, are more than willing to put their money where their mouth is.
