Leeds United and Sheffield United are reportedly interested in Queens Park Rangers star Luke Freeman.

Luke Freeman of QPR walks out onto the pitch prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Queens Park Rangers and Rotherham United at Loftus Road on March 13, 2019 in London, England.

According to London Football News, Sheffield United will make a new offer for Luke Freeman, with Leeds United also interested in the Queens Park Rangers star.

United’s initial offer for Freeman has been turned down by QPR, and now the Blades – who will play in the Premier League next season after clinching automatic promotion from the Championship – will make an improved bid, according to the report.

The report has also claimed that Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds are keen on securing the services of the 27-year-old former Arsenal prospect, who can also operate as a winger.

Missing out

With the Blades playing in the Premier League next season, Chris Wilder’s side certainly have the advantage over their Yorkshire rivals Leeds in the race for the signature of Freeman.

After all, the attacking midfielder will be tempted to play in the Premier League, and the Blades do provide him with that opportunity.

According to WhoScored, Freeman made 43 appearances in the Championship for QPR last season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists in the process.
