Sheffield United are reportedly keen on Chelsea’s Kasey Palmer.
According to the Daily Mail, Sheffield United are interested in signing Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer on loan, but face competition from Championship rivals Norwich City.
The Blades received great news on Tuesday as manager Chris Wilder committed his future to the club with a new three-year contract, and he will be given major backing in the transfer window this summer.
Now, it seems that United are looking to strike another loan deal with Chelsea, having taken goalkeeper Jamal Blackman for the duration of this season.
The Daily Mail now report that United want to land Chelsea playmaker Kasey Palmer, and have already submitted an enquiry about securing a loan deal.
Palmer, 21, spent the first half of this season on loan at Huddersfield Town but struggled for playing time, before heading out to Derby County in January, where he bagged two goals and one assist in 16 appearances – though only two were starts.
The attacking midfielder played a key role in Huddersfield’s promotion from the Championship in 2017, and could now be primed for a return to Yorkshire after Sheffield United’s attempt to land him.
Norwich City are also thought to have made a move for Palmer though, and it remains to be seen just where Chelsea want him to play his football next season after a fairly stop-start 2017-18 campaign.
