Sheffield United target Luke Freeman wants to leave Queens Park Rangers and play Premier League football, reports say.

Sheffield United have stepped up their attempts to sign Queens Park Rangers talisman Luke Freeman by making a £4 million bid, according to The Sun.

Freeman shone in a struggling QPR side last season, producing a series of excellent displays for the Londoners as they narrowly avoided slipping into a relegation battle.

The one-time Arsenal prospect produced seven goals and six assists in the Championship during the 2018/19 season and, tellingly, none of the midfielder’s at Sheffield United’s disposal were as productive in the final third during their promotion winning campaign.

And with Chris Wilder looking to add some more creativity to his side as they prepare for a first Premier League campaign since 2006, The Sun reports that they have tabled a £4 million bid for Freeman.

In an ideal world, QPR would love to hang onto their prized asset.

But The Sun reports that they have accepted defeat and are all-but guaranteed to cash in with Freeman holding a desire to play top flight football for the first time in a career which has been largely spent in the lower leagues.
