Premier League newcomers Sheffield United aren’t giving up on Oli McBurnie with a club-record bid lodged for the Championship striker.

Swansea City are tempted to sell Oli McBurnie to Sheffield United after Chris Wilder’s side made an improved bid for the striker, according to the Yorkshire Post.
Try as they might, The Blades have struggled to bring new centre-forwards to Bramall Lane since sealing their return to the Premier League despite the addition of Lys Mousset from Bournemouth.
Links with Britt Assombalonga, Neal Maupay and Roger Martinez have come and gone while a £15 million bid for McBurnie was rejected by Swansea.
But with the new season now less than two weeks away, Sheffield United haven’t given up on luring the Leeds-born centre-forward back to Yorkshire.

Reports have now emerged claiming that the Steel City outfit have made a new offer in the region of £20 million – a bid Swansea could struggle to bat away. The Yorkshire Post claim that The Swans are now more tempted than ever to cash in on their 24-goal top scorer.
Sheffield United have already broken their transfer record three times this summer in deals for Luke Freeman, Callum Robinson and the Frenchman Mousset, but paying £20 million for McBurnie would be one hell of a statement.
