According to The Athletic, Sheffield United are looking to loan Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
This wouldn’t be the first time Gibbs-White has gone out to play in the Championship. He spent the first half of last season at Swansea where he impressed before returning to Wolves.
The young midfielder has long been seen as the next big thing at Molineux, but for one reason or another, it hasn’t really happened for him yet.
However, the talent is there. In fact, Peter Crouch once described him as a ‘huge talent’ and he’s been a regular for the England U21s for quite some time now.
Gibbs-White would bring some much-needed creativity to Slavisa Jokanovic’s midfield after the likes of Sander Berge, Ollie Norwood and John Fleck suffered slow starts to the season.
It will certainly be interesting to see how the Blades shape up in the middle of the park for the remainder of the season after the arrival of Conor Hourihane, and if Gibbs-White also comes in there will be a few selection headaches for Jokanovic, not that he will mind.
Fingers crossed the Yorkshire club’s deadline day activity will prove to be enough to propel them up the table after a poor opening few weeks.
