Sheffield United, Barnsley and Burton Albion are all being credited with interest in the Cambridge United attacking midfielder.

Sheffield United lead Barnsley and Burton Albion in the race to sign George Maris, the Cambridge United attacking midfielder, this summer, according to the Sun.
Sheffield-born Maris began his career at Barnsley, but left Oakwell for Cambridge two years ago.
And the 22-year-old has not looked back, scoring or assisting 22 goals throughout that time – nine of which arrived in his last eight appearances.
That form is said to have alerted higher division suitors, however, and with only a year left on his contract at the Abbey Stadium, Maris could be prised away in the coming transfer window.
Maris fits the profile of many players signed by Chris Wilder, the Sheffield United manager, over the past two seasons, and a return to his hometown could prove hard for him to turn down.

A move to Bramall Lane is likely to raise fresh doubts about the future of David Brooks, who has been linked with several Premier League sides, and would surely leave Ricky Holmes’ Blades career under threat.
Maris has appeared as both a winger and secondary striker this past campaign, although his best form appears to have arrived from an attacking midfield role.
Would the former Barnsley man be a good addition for Sheffield United?
