According to reports from Express and Star, Wolves defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell could be set to leave the club this summer. And Sheffield United could be his next (permanent) destination.
The report claims that Sheffield United have stepped up their interest in the 24-year-old. The defender spent the last season on loan at Bramall Lane and played a key role in the club’s march to the League One title and promotion.
Chris Wilder, the Blades boss, is an admirer of the player, and has confirmed that the club have made an approach to sign the defender, who has been deemed surplus to requirements at Molineux.
“We’ve made an enquiry,” said Wilder, as quoted by Express and Star. “We’ve asked the question. Like anything else, they are waiting to see so it’s not guaranteed or concrete that he actually is available. But they’ve brought a couple of centre-halves in. It’s an on-going thing.
“They’ve had a change of manager and brought a couple of players in. Centre-half is a big position for us.
“We’ve made contact with Wolves. Numbers get banded around at this stage but it’s when players come back for training proper when I think things start to happen.”

Ebanks-Landell is facing an uncertain future at the club despite signing a three-and-a-half-year deal at Wolves as recently as January.
Former Wolves boss Paul Lambert played a key role in persuading him to sign a new deal, but it seems the player is not in the plans of new manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
The arrivals of Ryan Bennett and Roderick Miranda would push him further down the pecking order, and moving out of Wolves is the best solution for the defender.
