Sheffield United have previous with Argentine footballers.

Independiente have rejected an approach from Sheffield United for their young midfielder Alan Soñora, according to Olé.
The Argentine newspaper claims that Sheffield United ‘formally consulted’ Independiente about signing Soñora, but were told the Primeira Division did not want to part with the 20-year-old.
Soñora – whose father, Diego ‘Chiche’ Soñora, is best known for spells at Boca Juniors and in Major League Soccer – recently signed a new contract which contains a release clause set at $15 million (around £12m).
It is unclear how much Sheffield United offered, or are willing to offer.
But according to Olé, Soñora is being considered for promotion to Independiente’s first team this coming campaign.

The attacking midfielder – who was born in New Jersey, United States, but came through the ranks at Boca Juniors – is a described as being ‘left-footed’ and ‘enjoys assists more than goals’.
The former Argentina manager, Alejandro Sabella, played for Sheffield United between 1978 and 1980, and proved a hit at Bramall Lane.
