Sheffield United are hoping to finally bring Emmanuel Dennis to the Premier League in January with Club Brugge willing to sell for just £7 million, as reported by Walfoot.

When you consider the Nigeria international has scored just once in 13 games this season (and none in nine Jupiler League matches), you have to wonder why a goal-shy Blades side would even think about renewing their interest in a misfiring summer target.

But, according to reports from Belgium, that is exactly what Sheffield United are about to do.

Dennis shot to fame during a superb breakthrough campaign in 2019/20, firing Club Brugge to domestic glory while scoring twice away at Real Madrid in the Champions League group-stages.

Clearly, there is something special about the jet-heeled forward who has a habit of stepping up on the big occasions.

But, with the goals drying up and after a number of high-profile off-pitch issues, Walfoot believe Dennis is likely to play his final game in Brugge’s black and blue strip over the Christmas period.

The Belgian champions are allegedly willing to sell their one-time talisman at a much-reduced fee of £7 million.

Sheffield United are nailed to bottom of the Premier League table and, with just one point from 13 games, have made the worst start to a season by a club in English top-flight history.

Chris Wilder’s recruitment has come under fire in recent weeks too with Aaron Ramsdale, Oliver Burke and Rhian Brewster struggling to make a positive impression.
