Sheffield United are reportedly considering a move for Sam Gallagher.

According to the Sheffield Star, Sheffield United are weighing up a move for Southampton striker Sam Gallagher as Chris Wilder considers moves for new signings.
The Blades will be looking to kick on from a top half finish and push towards the play-offs next season, with many Wilder looking to bring in additions to his squad.
A new striker may be wanted, with James Wilson heading back to Manchester United and Clayton Donaldson released, and competition needed for top goalscorers Billy Sharp and Leon Clarke.

Now, the Sheffield Star report that the Blades are weighing up a move for Southampton forward Sam Gallagher, having considered a move to sign him last summer.
Gallagher, 22, joined Southampton from Plymouth Argyle in 2012, but he has made just 20 first-team appearances for the Saints, and none since the end of the 2013-14 campaign.
The former England Under-20 international has spent time out on loan with Milton Keynes Dons, Blackburn Rovers and most recently Birmingham City, and he ended last season with seven goals in 34 games.

With Manolo Gabbiadini, Charlie Austin, Shane Long and Guido Carrillo ahead of him in the Southampton pecking order, Gallagher may be on the move again this summer, either on loan or even permanently.
Sheffield United are thought to be considering a move for the 6ft 4in striker, and after Wilder decided not to pursue him due to the Blades’ budget, a new move could be in the offing thanks to new investment.
