Sheffield United are closing in on Wolves midfielder Lee Evans.

The Wales international joined Wolves in 2013 from Newport County and has made 67 appearances for the club. In between he has spent a season long loan spell at Bradford City, and this season has been plying trade on loan at League One club Wigan.

The 23-year-old has been superb for Wigan this season, and has been playing a pivotal role in their push for promotion.
However, it seems Wolves are looking to offload him permanently. He was withdrawn from Wigan’s starting XI prior to kick-off for their FA Cup tie with Bournemouth on Saturday as Wolves ready to accept an offer from Sheffield United.

The report claims that Wolves are prepared to accept a £7,50,000 bid from United.
There have been interest from other Championship clubs, but Sheffield United, who are also fighting for promotion, are in pole position to sign him.
