Sheffield United are reportedly keen on Marvin Johnson.

According to the Sheffield Star, Sheffield United are interested in signing Middlesbrough winger Marvin Johnson – and Chris Wilder may have hinted at a deal.
The Blades were active over the summer as Dean Henderson, Kean Bryan, John Egan, Ben Woodburn and David McGoldrick all arrived at Bramall Lane, and manager Wilder has already dipped into the loan market.
Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Oliver Norwood has arrived on loan ahead of completing a permanent move in January, and Wilder could be about to sign another player imminently.
The Sheffield Star report that Sheffield United are keen to bring in Middlesbrough wide man Marvin Johnson on loan, which would presumably be with a future permanent deal in mind again.
Johnson, 27, made his name with Motherwell before heading to Oxford United in 2016, and just one year of outstanding displays saw him make a move to Middlesbrough last summer.
Johnson struggled for playing time last season and has been expected to move on for some time, with the Blades now seemingly hoping to secure a deal – but it isn’t without its complications.

Wilder has told BBC Radio Sheffield that he hopes to get a signing in before the weekend, but an arrival is being held up because the club allowing the player to leave must bring in a signing of their own first.
As reported by The Northern Echo, Middlesbrough are pushing to sign Everton’s Yannick Bolasie on loan, and United may be waiting for that deal to go through before they can snap up Johnson, with Wilder clearly hoping for movement in the next 24 hours.
