Bradford will not want to sell the striker to a local and divisional rival but if the money is right then the powers at be at Valley Parade may have no choice but to sell the frontman.

Hanson has been at his hometown club Bradford since joining from Guiseley in 2009 and has been a star for the club ever since.

The 6ft 4 ins striker has scored 91 goals in 335 games for the club and played a key role in their memorable cup runs of recent years.

Sheffield United currently have Billy Sharp, Leon Clarke and Caolan Lavery in the striking positions but Hanson would offer them another option up top if they did manage to get a deal over the line to bring him to Bramall Lane.

The report does not mention if Sheffield United’s bid has been accepted or not, but it appears the striker is a top target for Chris Wilder’s Blades.
