Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has surprisingly been linked with a move away from the north London club this summer.

According to a report in the Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur are considering selling Mousa Dembele as Mauricio Pochettino has concerns over his fitness.

Dembele is said to be available for £20 million this summer, according to Calcio Mercato, in what would be a shock move from Tottenham.

However, Pochettino reportedly has fears that Dembele’s body may not be able to take the strain of playing a full season in England again.

Dembele has always struggled with injuries throughout his time at Spurs, with the Belgian international often missing chunks of the campaign.

However, when fit, Dembele remains one of Tottenham’s most integral players.

The 30-year-old’s technical ability, combined with his power, makes him one of the stand out central midfielders in the Premier League.

But Pochettino reportedly feels that Dembele could be expendable, as he looks to raise funds for his plans additions.

Spurs want to inject a considerable amount of quality into their squad this season, with Pochettino wanting to spend over £100 million on new players.
