According to the Mirror, Manchester City players have been struck by how much happier Pep Guardiola looks at the Etihad Stadium this season.

What’s the story?

Well, the report shares comments from a source close to Manchester City, who states that the Spaniard seems more content than ever with the Citizens.

It is said that those at the club think Guardiola wants to create a dynasty, and add to the ten trophies won by the Citizens in six years under him.

There were suggestions that the ex-Barcelona man would leave Manchester City if he wins the Champions League.

However, they have now been put to bed.

The source in question said: “Pep’s intensity to win is the same, but in many ways he seems to have mellowed. He’s happy.”

In our view, that should surprise nobody.

The 51-year-old is backed superbly by his bosses in the transfer market, and is always given what he needs to succeed.

Premier League should fear Pep Guardiola and Manchester City update

If Guardiola really does want to build a dynasty at Manchester City, then the rest of the Premier League should be devastated – mainly Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Citizens have won five of the last six Premier League titles, and it is always a huge surprise if they fail to win in England’s top-flight.

Unless something very, very strange happens, this will continue while Guardiola remains at the helm.

It must be incredibly frustrating for the rest of the division to see how formidable Guardiola has made Manchester City – sometimes, it feels pointless to even compete with them.

With just 16 months remaining on his contract, keep your eyes peeled for an extension.
