According to Football.London, Said Benrahma was left out of the West Ham United squad to face Manchester City because he wasn’t deemed ready by David Moyes.
The Hammers drew 1-1 with City on Saturday, stunning Pep Guardiola’s men by taking the lead through Michail Antonio in the first half.
City rallied in the second half and grabbed an equaliser through Phil Foden, but couldn’t find the win as David Moyes’ side stayed strong defensively.
There was one surprise for Hammers fans though, as new signing Said Benrahma was nowhere to be seen when the teams were announced; not even on the bench.
Now, it’s claimed that Moyes simply didn’t think he was ready, having only had a few days of training with West Ham before the City game.
The Algerian completed a loan move from Brentford earlier this month, but will seemingly have to be patient and wait for his chance in the Premier League.

Benrahma may have excelled in the Championship with 17 goals and nine assists last season, but there is a big jump the Premier League, and Moyes seemingly wants to take it slowly with him.
West Ham fans will be excited to see such a talented attacker in action, but despite medical concerns, it was just selection rather than an injury blow that kept him out on Saturday.
