Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was spotted shouting at new signing Aaron Ramsdale on Saturday afternoon, telling him exactly where to play the ball out from the back.

That’s according to Football.London, who claim that Arteta was pointing to exactly where he wanted Ramsdale to send a goal kick.

Ramsdale fulfilled his manager’s wishes, showing his ability to distribute out from the back.

Arteta will be delighted with how Ramsdale followed his instructions, and may not need to be yelled at moving forward.

Ramsdale surely Arsenal’s number one moving forward

Ramsdale joined Arsenal from Sheffield United last month. Many assumed that he would be backup to Bernd Leno for a while yet.

After impressing against West Bromwich Albion in the Carabao Cup, Ramsdale staked his claim for a starting role.

Leno then struggled against Manchester City, losing in a 5-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

Ramsdale started Saturday’s game against Norwich City, with Leno forced to sit on the bench.

Ramsdale kept Arsenal’s first league clean sheet of the season, and is ultimately the future for Arsenal.

Leno looks set to move on at the end of the season, and going with Ramsdale now is a major vote of confidence.

Successive relegations with Bournemouth and Sheffield United had left some worried about Ramsdale, but it looks like Arteta loves what he’s seeing so far.
