According to The Sun, Crystal Palace have been looking for bargains in one particular division in Europe’s top five leagues.
What’s the story?
Well, when revealing that Patrick Vieira is set to bring Osian Roberts to Selhurst Park as his No.2, The Sun revealed some transfer information.
They believe the south Londoners have been looking for ‘bargains’ in Ligue 1, where Vieira used to manage OGC Nice.
The Sun also mention the Frenchman’s links to Arsenal and Manchester City, which could help Crystal Palace land some interesting loan deals.
While an earlier report from the Daily Mail claimed the Eagles have £80 million to spend, The Sun think differently.
They believe Vieira will have £50 million to spend on new signings, and he will consult Roberts about any new arrivals.
Ligue 1 is full of gems

If Crystal Palace really are scouring Ligue 1, they’ve made a good decision.
France’s top-flight has often provided many gems for Premier League clubs.
Eden Hazard swapped Lille for Chelsea, as did Didier Drogba with Marseille and Petr Cech with Rennes.
On the less expensive side, Newcastle managed to sign Yohan Cabaye from Lille for just £4.3 million, and also found David Ginola in France too.

Leicester also found a £5.6 million bargain when signing N’Golo Kante from Caen.
It’s a division crawling with talent, and often players who find it relatively easy to adapt to Premier League football.
Hopefully, Crystal Palace can find their own rough diamond in Ligue 1.
