Newcastle United are set to take on Burnley at Turf Moor later this evening.

According to a report in the Chronicle, Amanda Staveley is not expected to be in attendance at Newcastle United’s match against Burnley tonight.

Newcastle are set to travel to Turf Moor, and it was questioned whether Staveley would be in attendance again.

The potential new Magpies owner was in attendance at Newcastle’s recent home match, which came against Liverpool.

Staveley is believed to be the most interested party in buying Newcastle, after Mike Ashley’s decision to put the club up for sale.

However, she is yet to make a bid for the St. James’ Park side – despite excitement growing over the takeover rumours.

Newcastle fans are eager for change of leadership, after criticising Ashley over a lack of investment.

Staveley is believed to value Newcastle at around £300 million, which means that there could be some negotiating to do, before any deal can be done.

On the pitch, if Newcastle are able to win this evening, they will move up to sixth place in the Premier League table.
