Slaven Bilic was sacked as West Ham United manager earlier this week after a poor run of results at the London Stadium.

Bilic’s spell at the London Stadium was brought to an end this week after the Hammers fell into the relegation zone in the Premier League having won just two of their opening 11 top flight games this term.

There was also concerns regarding the intensity of the training sessions during the latter stages of the 49-year-old’s tenure, according to the Mirror.

The Mirror adds that the majority of the squad like Bilic as a person, and that was the reason that they were happy to help when he came calling.
Of course, if Bilic was not prepared to discipline players as the report suggests, then he surely did make a mistake – but the fans are also entitled to be furious with the players who did turn up late as it surely hints at a lack of commitment to the club at a time when they desperately need a turnaround in fortunes.
