Madrid have been linked with making a move for the young England international in recent times, and Spurs officials have been quick to asses how serious Madrid’s interest is.
However, Tottenham feel confident that the Spanish giants will not be making an offer for the foreseeable future.
Although Alli may be well be being tracked by Madrid, there is a feeling around White Hart Lane that he is seen as one for the future, rather than the present.
That is good news for Spurs, who are said to be determined to keep hold of Alli for as long as possible.
The 20-year-old has been nothing short of brilliant since arriving at White Hart Lane from MK Dons, and he now plays a crucial role in Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team.
Alli has notched six goals in his last three games to increase his reputation further, and take his tally to 10 Premier League strikes already.
Alli’s form has helped Tottenham climb into third place in the table, with the Lilywhites’ next match coming against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.
