Steve Bruce has caused great frustration at Sheffield Wednesday after taking the Newcastle United job.

According to the Shields Gazette, Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri shook Steve Bruce’s hand before he took the Newcastle United job.

Bruce has caused great anger at Wednesday from the way he went about leaving after Newcastle announced their interest in him.

However, Chansiri is said to have shaken hands with Bruce before he left for St. James’ Park.

Bruce had done an excellent job at Wednesday prior to taking over at Newcastle, but he has quickly become a very unpopular figure at Hillsborough.

The experienced manager has really disrupted his former side’s preparations for the new campaign by resigning right at the start of pre-season.

Wednesday are still looking for a new boss, while Bruce has now got started at Newcastle.

Bruce was in the stands to watch at the weekend, as Newcastle picked up a 1-0 win over West Ham United in pre-season.

Bruce has a lot of work to do to win over supporters at Newcastle, as there is a number of doubters of him in the St. James’ Park crowd.

The likes of Chris Coleman, Lee Bullen and Gary Rowett have all been linked with the Wednesday job since Bruce left.
