Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly opened talks with Lyon over a potential move for Tanguy Ndombele.

According to a report from the Independent, Tottenham’s rivals for Tanguy Ndombele’s signature believe that it is Mauricio Pochettino’s men who are the favourites to sign the Lyon midfielder this summer.
The Independent reports that Spurs are already in talks with the Ligue 1 outfit about a potential move for the 22-year-old, who is valued at more than £60 million. But they are not Ndombele’s only admirers.
Manchester United and Juventus are interested in the Frenchman, according to the Independent, but they know that Spurs are leading the race and that they have ground to make up if they want to pip the Champions League finalists to his signature.
Tottenham’s race to lose?
With talks opening and rivals believing that Tottenham are in control of the race to sign Ndombele, it appears that Spurs have a fantastic opportunity to get Ndombele through the door this summer.

The pressure is arguably now on Tottenham to make sure that they get a move across the line. With the fans still awaiting the club’s first new signing since the 2018 January transfer window, it does seem important that Daniel Levy oversees an impressive summer.
And making sure that they capitalise on their current position in the race to land Ndombele would be a superb way for Tottenham to kick off their spending.
