West Bromwich Albion boss Darren Moore is said to be keen on Newcastle United forward Jacob Murphy.

Jacob Murphy of Newcastle United looks on during the Pre-season friendly match between FC Porto and Newcastle at Estadio do Dragao on July 28, 2018 in Porto, Portugal.

Newcastle United have told West Bromwich Albion that they will not be able to sign Jacob Murphy until a replacement is snapped up, according to the Express and Star.

West Brom want to take Murphy on loan from Newcastle until the end of the season, as Darren Moore’s side look for attacking additions.

However, Rafael Benitez is not prepared to let Murphy go, without a new player coming in.

Newcastle have been looking for fresh faces throughout the month, but are still yet to complete a transfer.

The Magpies have seen a deal for Jordan Lukaku fall through, and are now looking to force other transfers through before the deadline.

And West Brom need Newcastle to make a signing quickly if they are to get Murphy.

Benitez does not want to weaken his squad any further, and even though Murphy has not featured much this term, he still does not feel happy to sanction the winger’s departure right now.
