According to Football.London, Jose Mourinho enjoyed working with Christian Eriksen at Tottenham Hotspur – but isn’t convinced by a return for him.
It’s claimed that some decision makers at Tottenham want to bring Eriksen back to the club, just a year after selling him to Inter Milan.
But what does Mourinho think? Well, he allegedly enjoyed working with Eriksen last season, albeit briefly as they only worked together for around two months.
In just 14 games under Mourinho, Eriksen bagged one goal and two assists for Tottenham before deciding he wanted to leave for Inter.
Yet despite enjoying his time coaching Eriksen, Mourinho is allegedly unconvinced by the prospect of re-signing Eriksen having failed to really see the best of him.
There are fears that the 28-year-old’s form and confidence have nosedived so much at Inter that Mourinho just isn’t sure about bringing him back.
Eriksen hasn’t enjoyed his time in Italy, notching just four goals and three assists in 39 games for Inter, and they seem open to letting him go.
Spending money to bring him back just a year after he was so keen to leave seems like a strange decision, and Mourinho may well end up kiboshing such a move.
